The first team cup final is off so we will all head to Morpeth to see our 2's play at Morpeth 1500 kick off.

Gutted to not have the 1's playing in the plate final this weekend. Could've been a great occasion with the senior final at 1300, plate final at 1500 with our 2's playing on the next pitch at the same time vs Morpeth.

19 of the 21 selected for the plate final will be rested in the hope that the final is on the 20th April although the semi final between Ponteland and Border Park is unlikely to be played in time. Alex Watson and current colt Josh Farley will be asked to play as they are yet to play in a cup match this season.

2's squad to play Morpeth - 1315 meet at Novos to arrive at Morpeth for 1345. Kick off 1500.
Ian Wood, Ant McQuillan, David Medjigbodo-Lawson, Charlie Muse, Dylan Mills, Ollie Forster, Simeon Archibald, Alex Watson, Barney Youlden, Josh Farley, Zinzan Fraser, Shaun Stewart (captain) Isaac Robinson, Greg Wills, Jack Povey, Charlie Lawlor, Rich Zabrocki, Alex Cokeley, Christian Selkirk

Incredibly balanced front row as 3's captain Ian Wood and Ant McQuillan come into the 2's squad to provide some size alongside mobile tight-head David Medjibodo-Lawson.

The engine room includes more young talent in Charlie Muse and Dylan Mills. Possessing great work ethic the two will be keen to get in the mix on Saturday. Ollie Forster will don the six shirt. The current Dame Allan's student has been outstanding in the loose in his first few games of adult rugby. Simeon Archibald will wear the seven shirt, outstanding last week in a win over Meds. The pack is completed by Alex Watson who will relish playing at eight after playing second row in recent weeks. An absolute work horse in defence and a real off loading threat when in possession.

In the backs Barney Youlden returns from his Easter break to put on the nine shirt. Will be exciting to see him play alongside Josh Farley on Saturday. Farley made his first team debut on Saturday and the crowd were excited with every touch he had on the ball. He looks a real talent, yet still only seventeen.

More first team experience in the centres with Shaun Stewart and Isaac Robinson side by side. Stewart was excellent in the game last week against Meds and it has been great to see Robinson's name back in our squads. The Old Novocastrian is great in defence and capable of a line break.

An incredible squad is finished off with the flyers - Greg Wills and Zinzan Fraser who will be put into space by ball playing Jack Povey.

Our finishers will be charged to keep our standards high throughout the 80 mins - Charlie Lawlor, Rich Zabocki, Alex Cokeley and Christian Selkirk.

So no rugby at Novos this week so get along to support the 2's at Morpeth for a 1500 kick off.

Up the Vos !
