Novos play Consett tomorrow in Martin Fearon's final game before moving to London for work. Sam Busby also plays his 50th competitive match in a row.

Squad News - Josh Stacey, Tom Dias, Luke Menzfeld, Adam McDonald, Alex Littlefair (Capt), Sean Ramsay, Martin Fearon, George Bambrick, Billy Porter, Greg Humphreyson, Harry Armstrong (debut), Shaun Stewart, Isaac Robinson, Cameron Spencer, Sam Busby - Subs : Josh Floyd (debut), Chris Ward, Rory Duncan.

Possibly one of the strongest forward packs selected so far will take the battle to Consett up front. This despite the unavailability of first team regulars Pete Twentyman and Nick Arbuckle. In anticipation of an open game we have gone with five back row layers in our back five of the scrum.

The back line is much changed with the unavailability of Jez Nash, Mark Stewart, Matt Bradford and Andrew Maxwell. A long list on top of James Parkinson and Lewis Chater who are out for the rest of the season.

So opportunities galore for Stewart and Robinson to see more of the ball than normal. A chance of young Cameron Spencer and Rory Duncan to show that they belong in the squad on a more permanent basis. Finally, debuts are handed out to ex-Gosforth wing/fullback Harry Armstrong after some fine displays for the two's. The same can be said for fellow debutant Josh Floyd who packed up recent displays with a fantastic first thirty mins for Gareth Bowden's side last week at West Hartlepool.

Those in attendance will be sure to see a match between two sides who will want to have a go. Consett arrive in fine form and have aspirations on pushing for promotion in the final push to April. However, Novos have often spoiled Consett's dreams and have won four out of the last six meetings between the sides.

The second team will play Morpeth in a cup fixture on the far field. All eyes will be on the possible return of Iain Dodds and Stephen Hughes-Narborough after long lay offs due to injury.

Just a passing note that Adam McDonald represented Northumberland U20's at Kingston Park last Saturday. Congrats Adam. Wonder if any of his team mates will push for senior honours this season after the club has been represented over the past two seasons.

See you all at the match.
