That's a month of pre season done, eight sessions in. Attendance by all four sides during the month of July. Special shout out to Ben Wollerton, Cameron Spencer, Stephen Wood and Tom Dias who made it 8/8 when they fronted up on Thursday. Awesome effort boys. Honourable mentions to Alex Cokeley and Joe Ball who only missed one of the eight sessions.

Tuesday - after a brief warm up we played some conditioned games working on our defence. A lot of hard work put in regarding this seasons new laws and how that may change the decision making by the tackler. Then we played some fitness games before doing some work in our units.

Thursday - more conditioned games working on our fitness, then some unit work with the forwards again looking at our new line out calls. We finished the month with several games of full contact small sided games.

This week training heads back to the club as we make our final preparations for the upcoming season. On Saturday the 5th August we are going to organise a clean up day to get the club ready for the RugbyFest on the 12th, details to follow.

After the RugbyFest we play Ryton on the 19th. The week after we will play Ashington on the 26th at home in our county cup match. The curtain raiser is a 1300 kick off as an Ashington XV take on a Novos XV.

Loads ahead of us so get to training, get to the club on the 5th to help clean up. Then get involved in the RugbyFest on the 12th whether it be by playing in the 7's or volunteering behind the bar.
