Ground maintenance was completed on 14th and 15th of May. We had all 4 pitches and surrounds aerated, fertilised and seeded. In addition 120 tonnes of sand were spread on pitches 2, 3 and the back pitch. All this is in line with the planned maintenance suggested at the time of the relaying.
We cannot promise that next winter will be easier, but we have done what we can at great expense. This last winter was the wettest we have had for 40 years apparently.
The seed has already started to germinate and things are looking good, even in the areas which were very bare on all 4 pitches.
To give this the best possible chance to get established the ground is closed to all, except for the area outside the white line, which has had no treatment. Hopefully we will be able to start training on our ground when the new growth is established before the start of the new season.
