Novos travel to Horden on Saturday hoping to consolidate fifth place in Durham and Northumberland One. Up the Vos !

We travel to Horden in confident mood after an entertaining win over Gateshead last week. Horden lost to an improving Stockton on Saturday and will be looking to bounce back in this home fixture.

The boys have worked hard at training this week focusing on how we intend to play on Saturday. Having 40 plus players at training each week has been huge regarding getting match prep done against opposition.

Novos wider squad will be used this weekend due to some injury and availability issues. From Saturday's victorious side Josh Stacey, Andy Hall, Jamie Wallace and Jez Nash are unavailable. However, Tom Cox, Pete Twentyman, Henry Wilson, Ben Merrett and Rich Harrison are able to come back into the squad. In addition, there is a debut for Zach Weatherhead - testament to the hard work Zach has put in at training. He has represented all four of Novos sides in the past nine months culminating in a bench spot for Saturday's game.

It is hoped that Pete Twentyman will be joined in the front row by Daniel Shuttleworth and Luke Menzfeld who will need to pass fitness tests on Thursday. In the second row new addition Tom Cox comes back into the squad and will link up with youngster Euan Duncan. The pack will be completed by Chris Ward, Adam McDonald and we welcome back Ben Merrett into the starting line up.

Last week we scored eight tries against Gateshead with the backs grabbing six of them. Whilst Jez Nash is missing the back line is actually strengthened from last week with the return of Rich Harrison and Henry Wilson.
