Tuesday - unreal turn out given that the football was on (25) during training. We just played some touch based games and finished with a conditioned game of rugby. A few colts attended in Jack Shanahan and Ben Holman as well as new lad Hayden Williamson. Was also great to see the return of Jonny Ward, Mike Stowe and Jack Spoor to Novos training. Jonny has been at Morpeth for two seasons and Jack and Mike have been recovering from injury. Magnus Leask and Andy Holman oversaw the session.

Thursday - 35 lads this time including current and ex colts - Ben Lyons, Tom Tully, Rhys Gibbons and Fraser Green. Hayden was joined by new face Alex Tait, an Old Novocastrian and a fine addition to the club whilst he returns from injury. We put the lads into three ability based groups and played various touch games. Loads of running despite everyone just playing and having fun. It was also great to have a ten min chat to each group about the club, expectations for the coming season as well as the future of Novos. Magnus, Andy and Gareth Bowden delivered the session.

All in all, a great first week full of touch based games, loads of touches of the ball, people working in their own peer groups and growing the club and the game itself.

Next week we will once again be at Paddy Freemans Playing Fields for a 1900 start.
