Northern are top of the table but are under pressure from Durham and West Hartlepool and cant afford to slip up. We arrive in sixth place with high hopes of being in the top five at Xmas.

Unavailable from last week are Luke Menzfeld, Rich Harrison and Jonny Ward. However, in come regular squad members Tom Cox, Andy Hall, Henry Wilson and Chris Ward with Zach Weatherhead rotating out to play for the twos.

This weeks pack shows more mobility than last week and we have worked hard on the training pitch to prepare for the task ahead. We will need to get the basics right against a well drilled side like Northern. However, the squad is in a good place heading into our December fixtures.

Whilst we have two starters missing from last week we are encouraged by Henry Wilson’s return from injury. Henry has played incredibly well in his first season at the club and our trio of centres in Jez Nash and Tom Winning are continually creating space for our back three. In addition, Greg Humphreyson will enjoy a run out at ten and an opportunity to displace regular fly half, Rich Harrison. There is an incredible competition in the Vos backline this season - something we have not seen for a season or two.

Don’t forget - kick off is 1400. Hopefully that extra pint will not cause any issues over the weekend.
