It is hoped a unique experience will occur on Saturday as our 2's play Westoe at 1500, the ladies 1's play Lichfield at 1430 then the mens 1's take on Stockton at 1500. All watched by some of our 3's and 4's players who are gathering at the club for some food and a meeting. An incredible atmosphere before and after is expected.

Squad news - the boys have overcome availability issues to still put out a very strong side with no less than eight front row players unavailable from the top two squads ! Mainly due to work commitments and one of them even doing the Great North Run !!

Pete Twentyman leads out the side, captaining his first home game after Alex Littlefair stepped aside to let the young leaders in Pete, Jez Nash and Sean Ramsay take the group onto the next level. A huge thank you to Alex who won two County Plate Finals, and led the side into the top six of Durham and Northumberland One.

We have had a great week of prep before playing against a high flying Stockton. Our opponents arrive in fine spirits after a good win against Gateshead as well as adding talent to last years squad including Tynedale's Scott Powell returning to his childhood club.

Last week we put in a spirited performance against West Hartlepool as the backs scored four tries to earn us a losing bonus point. However, the game slipped away from us at 22-15 when Wests scored three quick tries when we were down a man.
