Finally, the league season is upon us as the 1's travel to West Hartlepool and the 2's are at home to Percy Park at 1500.

The first team squad to play at West Hartlepool is Josh Stacey, Pete Twentyman (Capt) Luke Menzfeld, Alex Littlefair, Adam McDonald, Chris Law (league debut) George Bambrick, Sean Ramsay (Co Vice Capt) Paddy Sowter, Nick Bellamy (league debut) Shaun Stewart, Jez Nash (Co Vice Capt) Sam Busby, Ben Wollerton, Jonny Ward, Euan Duncan, Tommy Bilclough and Rich Harrison.

The second team squad to play Percy Park (1500 kick off) at Sutherland Park is Josh Floyd, Zach Weatherhead, Gus Graham, Tom Cox (debut) Dan Whitaker, Alex Cokeley, Rhys Gibbons, Christian Selkirk, Jack Hearn, Cameron Spencer, Ben Kelly, Sam Bird, Peter Kay, Jan Safranek, Hayden Williamson (debut)

The thirds play on Friday night at Northern in a memorial game kicking off at 1800 if you can get along. The squad consists of Rory Davidson, Ross Glasper, Sean Isherwood, Stephen Wood, Stevie Thompson, Tim Hart, Will Evans, Jonny Lowes, Lee Histed, Nick Moss, Rhys Gibbons, Rich Zabrocki, Ricky Humble, Harry Levison, Jack Pellew, Jamie Humble, John Marshall, Jonny Bulfin, Andrew McKenna, Francis Obina Eze, Chris Ward and Fraser Green

Pete Twentyman's men step into the unknown against a side relegated last season into Level 7. Wests will start the game as favourites as sides previously relegated tend to finish in the top four. Novos will be looking to build on last season and push into the top six after strengthening their player pool during the off season.

It will take time for new signings to come through but it is hoped that Chris Law (6), Andy Hall (6), Tom Cox (5), Nick Bellamy (10), Alex Tait (11) and Henry Wilson (12) will all eventually play a big role during the season.

In addition, it is great to see some of our players return to us from uni in Paddy Sowter (9), Euan Binmore (14) and Jan Safranek (Czech U20's) Fantastic when you think next season will see the possible return of Bruno Smith (9), Jonno Wilkes (15) and Angus Duncan (13)

Great times ahead when you also consider that the clubs Under 17's and Under 15's are coming through as county champions.

Good luck to all the lads pulling on the jersey this weekend and Up The Vos !!
