Novos hope to make it three from three this weekend as they take on Gosforth in the Ringtons Tea Cup!

The 1st XV play away to Gosforth at their new Broadway West ground, in a game that is sure to thrill the neutral. Novos are riding high in the league, placed in 4th; Gosforth are 6th, having won their last four games on the bounce.

The side hoping to retain the cup for the third time sees Josh Stacey come in for the injured Tommy Goodman (Goodman had made 40 consecutive competitive 1st XV appearances since his debut last August) at loose head prop. Michael Stowe, in fine form, gets the nod at hooker, as Pete Twentyman moves across one position to tight head. Chris Ward and Iain Dodds make up the second row, with George Davidson, Ben Merrett and Alex Littlefair in the back row.

Lewis Chater comes in at scrum half after his time away with Rich Harrison at stand off. An unchanged midfield and three quarters sees Jez Nash, Jonny Ward, Aedan Moloney, Sam Busby and Carl Parkinson retaining their postions for the derby clash. The bench welcomes back Luke Menzfeld from the 2s and Richard Dodd. Sam Warren gets the final bench place, for what will be his first outing for the 1st XV since October 2014.

The 2nd XV have a fixture as yet TBC. The 3rd XV are at home to Morpeth IV team in the first round of the Junior Cup that we finished runners up in last year. The 4th XV are hoping to secure a win away to Sunderland 3s.

It is sure to be a great Saturday as Novos, yet again, manage to get four sides out!
