We are desperate for rain, there are brown areas which are worrying, but all that can be done has been done. Sanding, seeding, weedkilling and tidying up under the hedge. Grass has been cut, and not grown. Some of the seed from the first sowing has germinated, fertiliser is there... weeds are mostly dead. The second seeding has not yet had any water, but will hopefully spring into growth as soon as it does. Thanks to Equine Grass Management for the effort put in.

Mr Willis and Brendan have done their stuff while Richard and I have been sunning ourselves, speaking personally it was hotter here than where I was for several days. Thanks to them.

My part in the work has been to arrange The Hoppings, Wimbledon, Cricket ..... all of which would be expected to produce deluges... I failed.
