All the information you need for this Sunday's Falcons Festival at Kingston Park...

This weekend, we have 26 players playing in the Falcons Festival at Kingston Park.

We are the only club to be entering 3 teams into the Festival and we'll have a fantastic opportunity to test our progress amongst a total of 35 teams from across the North of England. Some are familiar opponents and some we've never played before!

We have JUST enough players for 3 teams, so if you'd like to play and aren't listed, you are very welcome. If for any reason you cannot play, can you please let me know as soon as possible!

Timings:

Please arrive promptly, leaving plenty of time for travelling to the stadium and parking.

  • 0930 Meet at South West corner of stadium
  • 1000 Coaches briefing
  • 1030 Games begin on the main pitch (inside the stadium) and the west pitch (outside)
  • 1315 Games finish
  • 1315 All players, parents and coaches who are involved in matches INSIDE the stadium will be asked to leave the stadium at this point. Only those players and parents who have tickets for the Falcons match afterwards will be re-admitted.
  • 1430 Meet for prematch parade at North West corner of the stadium, by the Green match control box
  • 1500 Kick off Newcastle Falcons Vs Northampton Saints (Anglo Welsh Cup)

General information:

  • Please wear MATCH KIT for the festival. This consists of NEW MATCH SHIRTS, BLACK SHORTS and BLACK SOCKS. We'll get some team photos prior to the match with everyone looking smart!
  • If you don't yet have your new match shirt, I'll have them with me on the day
  • The main pitch at Kingston Park is astroturf, Normal studded football/rugby boots should be worn. Please bear in mind that there is a chance of scrapes on the artificial surface, so consider base layers/'skins' to protect the children's knees and elbows
  • Each team will be staying on one pitch for the duration of the festival.
  • There will be NO on match day discount on tickets. If you wish to attend the Falcons Vs Northampton match, click here to receive the Novos club discount. Remember that players will receive a free ticket, but must be accompanied, so parents will need to buy one!
  • Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of snacks and drinks to keep the children fed and watered throughout the day, or bring your wallet/purse and be prepared to queue for food! (see below)
  • Refreshments will be open in the West stand from 09.30, this will be for coffees, teas and refreshments, these can be accessed through the SOUTH WEST doors of the stadium. The Tap and Tackle will also be open from 10am to serve hot drinks in the east stand. Tap and Tackle will also serve match day menu from 12 with hot food and sandwiches available. The west stand concessions open at 1.30pm but please note you will need a ticket for the Falcons game to access the stand after this time.
  • All spectators will be swept out of the stadium at 13.30 - they will then be required to re-enter by scanning match tickets, those without a valid match ticket will not be permitted access after this time.
  • Spectators on the West (outside) pitch will be allowed pitch side (behind any fencing or ropes) but please be aware that we are fully compliant with the RFU guidelines on touchline behavior and it is expected spectators meet this standard. Any issues will be dealt with swiftly on the day.
  • Spectators on the Main pitch will be located in the stands
  • Dogs are not permitted at Kingston Park stadium.
  • Match-day parking is at a cost of £10, no exceptions will be made for those attending the festival. There are alternative parking arrangements available at the metro park and ride stations as well as public transport options. Parking tickets can be bought at the match ticket link.
