The U11 festival is being held at WHITLEY BAY CRICKET CLUB on HILLHEADS ROAD, WHITLEY BAY, NE25 8HP. The cricket ground is directly next to Whitley Bay Ice Rink. There will be some matches played at Rockcliff however the majority of teams will play their matches on the cricket pitch.

Please arrive by 9:30am. Someone will be there to meet you from 9:00am. There are about 200 children attending, so leave plenty of time!

The first games will commence at 10.00am and play is due to finish by 12.45pm. Each team will play 3 x 20 minute games so all players will compete for a total of 60 minutes during the festival.

Entry is £2 per player.

DO NOT PARK AT THE RUGBY CLUB! Car parking for the U11 festival will be at either Morrison’s supermarket on Hillheads Road NE25 8HN, or the public car park adjacent to Whitley Bay Football Club, on Hillheads Road, NE258HR. Both car parks are situated either side of the ice rink and are less than a 5 minute walk away from the cricket pitch. Parking is free on both sites. Please try and use these car parks and avoid congesting Hillheads Road which is a busy thoroughfare at the best of times.

Players will be given a hot dog and there will be food and drink on sale at the cricket pavilion. As with all festivals we recommend bringing your own food and drink and regard anything on the day as a bonus!

I know we have no problems with pitchside behaviour, but a useful reminder from the organisers to:

Adhere to pitch protocol – please keep off the pitches and give the children space to play safely
Respect the coach/referees - they're volunteers and are learning too!
Remember the RFU core values of TEAMWORK – RESPECT – ENJOYMENT – DISCIPLINE – SPORTSMANSHIP.
