All the info you need to know about our upcoming tour to Whitby on 1st and 2nd April...

In a few short weeks we will embark on the third annual Novos Ninjas Tour. This year we are staying in Whitby, with a match against Redcar RUFC pencilled in for the Sunday morning, nicely breaking up the journey home.

We are staying at the YHA Whitby, an amazing mansion house perched right next to Whitby Abbey at the top of the 199 steps up from the harbour. Accommodation is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Our rough plan is as follows (precise details to follow between now and the tour):

  • Arrive Saturday around lunchtime, check into rooms.
  • Afternoon activity for all the children (including siblings). This is being organised by the YHA staff - details to follow.
  • Afternoon activity for all the grown ups - likely a 'tour' of the next door Whitby brewery. It's a tiny micro brewery, so if the tour doesn't take long, I'm sure we can fin d other things to do whilst we wait for the children.
  • After dinner there will be an awards ceremony for the children and entertainment provided by parents. Previous years we have held a 'Parents Got Talent' competition, and family World Record Attempts. Watch this space for details on what you need to prepare!
  • Sunday morning, after breakfast we will head to Redcar to play rugby before heading home.

Some important information, particularly if you haven't toured with us before:

  • You will need to make your own way to/from Whitby - no transport is provided
  • Fancy dress is compulsory for everyone all day Saturday - the theme this year is HAWAII
  • We are staying in a Youth Hostel, all bedding is provided but you will need to bring towels.
  • The majority of families are in separate rooms, but some will need to share rooms. Don't worry, Mums won't need to share with Dads and girls and boys are separate!
  • The price includes pretty much everything, except drinks. There is a bar in the YHA Whitby, however you may want to bring some of your own (bear in mind however it is a licenced premises, so you will have to be subtle!)

The total cost of the tour is £47.50 each, leaving £37.50 each to pay after your deposits. I need to collect this as soon as possible, so could I please ask you to transfer your money using the following details.

Sort code: 40-47-80
Account Number: 42733501
Reference: Your SURNAME

Once transferred, please drop me a text confirming the payment and the amount you have transferred so I can keep a record.

Any questions, give me a shout!

Paul
