Novos down but not out

Novos were well beaten in this game despite scores from Simon Ayre, Ben Merrett and Rory Diggle, they found an in form Sunderland side too good on the day.

A Disappointing result leaves Novos 8 points away from the teams occupying safety positions and 4 points adrift at the bottom. If there were doubts beforehand Novos now know they are fighting a very tough battle with relegation where bonus points against the top sides and wins against the teams in the bottom half of the table are needed if we are to avoid the dreaded drop.

That starts with the players at training and in the games having the right attitudes but also with the whole club now getting behind the team, Only 18 can take the field to take on the fight but with over 500 members from juniors to Alickadoos, now is the time the team need your support more than ever, Would be great to see some bumper crowds to come and shout the boys on.

Next week Medicals visit having made plenty of noise about a big win over Novos earlier in the season, Novos will certainly be looking to be more competitive in this return fixture.
