On a fine sunny day the 2s travelled to Alnwick hoping to pick up their first win of the season in the Candy League

A strong squad travelled to Anlwick, Shaun Stewart deputised while skipper Ian Pratt played his last cricket game of the season.
Vos started strongly scoring though Jonny Bird, I assume it was from about 1 meter out in the corner and Humphryson missed the conversion.(more practice required Greg)
Novos continued to dominate the game and got their second try through Cokeley after 19 mins Greg added the conversion 0-12. After 25 minutes John Marshall got injured, who had 25 minutes in the sweep steak?? He was replaced by Nick Wilson.
Novos scored yet again to make it 17-0 through Cokeley getting his second of the afternoon on 34 minutes Greg added the conversion to make it 19-0. John Marshall came back on after deciding his finger was fit enough to continue playing, Wilson made way.
With the score 19-0 to Vos at halftime the tinker man Gareth "Claudio" Bowden made plently of substitutions: Kauffman on for Birdy, N Wilson on for R Duncan, Dave Marshall on for Cosgrove. Into the second half Vos were still playing well and John Marshall fancied watching the cricket taking place next door so went off again after 48 mins with Rory Duncan returning to the action. After 49 mins Alnwick Score a convted try to make it 7-19. After 59 mins Alnwick scored another converted try 14-19. Anlwick really had the momentum and scored a third converted try after 65 mins to take the lead 21-19. Claudio had enough of this and made a further changes with Salt coming of for Bird after 66 mins and David Marshall who turned up really late as expected went off after 67 mins to go to a wedding, with Cosgrove coming back on. The changes worked with the ever impressive man mountain Neil Smith scoring after 70 mins Neil Smith but Greg missed to conversion to leave the score 21-26. With 76 minutes on the clock Greg stepped up to slot over a penalty to make the score 29-21 to Vos meaning Alnwick needed to score twice, Vos ran to clock down to see out an impressive away win.
there were a number of strong performances but Neil Smith edged the MoM.

This report was made up by Ian Pratt as no one who played would write one.
