2s start strongly before fading

The day started with last minute drop outs meaning the squad was 17 with Sam Devey also covering the 1s bench. The 2s started strongly scoring early through Dylan Murphy's first try for the club and without a kicking tee Sam Devey was unable to add the extras. Boro came back into the game via a push over scrum. Novos hit straight back through Brendan Thomas who was hanging about on the wing and nearly forgot to ground the ball, conversion missed. Boro scored again before James Bass went over to make it 12-15. Boro scored again to make it 17-15 at the break. The 1s took Sam Devey with Marc McClelland coming on at centre with Mikey Wiliams going to 10. The game was nicely poised before Bassy got a yellow card for a number of team penalties. Boro ran in four tries while the 2s were down to 14 men. Rory Davidson went off injured for Tom Dias as Vos returned to a full 15. Novos scored through Christian Selkirk who converted his own try. Two more injures left Vos with 13 men for the last 10 minutes as Boro increased the score to 57-22. The final score wasn't a true reflection of the game, with better availability and a larger bench Vos would have won the game. MoM was Sam Devey who really enjoyed the bus trip.
