After last weeks disappointing defeat in the cup semi final Novos are looking to bounce back in the league with Consett visiting.

Novos name a changed squad looking at some combinations and taking the opportunity to run the rule over some new players keen to stake a claim for places in the squad.

Consett always provide tough opposition and are noted for strong forwards and a combative approach - their recent form has been good with a notable victory over Jarrovians last week under their belt.

On a weekend where a potential grand slam is on offer to the English Novos break from tradition and name a nearly all English squad

The front row is Skipper James Forbes propping, Keith Lemon lookalike Ben Walker at Hooker and Gus Graham on the tighthead side. The 2nd row sees a return for the ginger prince Glenn Fife, while Dale Raine gets a chance to play against his old club for the first time. The back row is shorn of Jamie Diggle who is forced to sit out following his ban for a very harsh red card but Jon Woolfenden steps in for him with Paul Henderson at number 8 and Sam Hubbert the sole survivor from last weeks back row.

Andy Maxwell is the irish joker in the pack from scrum half with Chris Fife at stand off. A new centre pairing sees new signings Harvey Bateman line up with Mark Cooper and a very pacey try scoring back three of Ben Adcock, Rory Diggle and Jonny Ward line up hoping to add to the combined total of 30 tries they have scored this season.

On the bench Dave Addison lines up with another new player Fergus Wilson and AN Other depending on whats available tomorrow.
