Novo’s 3s are on the road for the 3rd week running as they travel to Blyth. This week sees the welcome return of glorious leader and captain Ian Pratt. Once again the team sees a few changes from the previous week, with boosted availability due to the end of the cricket season.
Diva Shaun O'Connell continues in his starting spot alongside John Paul Addison, but a well know and somewhat hairy face starts at tighthead, as the team welcome back Craig Paterson.
Cool-headed Kris Tenglesen partners Gavin Evans in a hefty looking second row.
GNR finisher Darren Hodgson is back at 6, with last week’s MoM and all-round maniac Dan Hipps at openside. The glorious one, Ian Pratt, has picked himself at 8.
Young Jonny Lowes is the team’s 3rd scrum half this season, with Christian Selkirk, fresh from a romance-hunting trip to Corfu, pulling the strings at 10.
It’s all change in the centres with the unavailability of VC Hemmings, as John William Marshall swaps his cricket pads for a knee brace to play 12, and Tommy Wilson injury free returning at 13.
Conor Peniston-Bird will be looking to last more than half a match on one wing, with versatile Ben Kelly on the other. David Marshall is back to take the fullback spot that he made his own last season.
A 5 man bench is made up of Lee Histed, Adam Longstaff, Alex Fenwick, ladies man Tom Burford, and a young ex-colt called Angus.
News has yet to reach Novos HQ whether any injured Wilsons will travel with the squad.
