Match Preview

Our 3's are on a roll at the moment with 5 from 5 as Nth Shields arrive at Sutherland Park. A lot of messages in the chat groups as a few old friends return to Novos. However, its been great to hear the boys just focus on themselves as they seek to improve week to week.

Some great work has been done by DOR Nick Cotterill assembling lads like Andy Croft, Tommy Wilson Snr, Steve Gittins and captained well by Ian Wood.

Big front row assembled to combat Nth Shields size with Andrew McKenna returning last week from long term injury, Ant McQuillan at hooker and the big lad Ian Wood. Balance in the second row as energiser bunny Thomas Platt partners Sean Hamill. The pack is completed with hard carrying Tom Storey, our own Benjamin Button - Craig Logue. With James Bass at eight in a role that has inspired him this season.

Behind that will be our not so secret weapon - Christian Selkirk, Harry Jones set to unleash the likes of Luke Masters and Sam Bird in midfield. Outside them will be the gas of Dan Vicary and Josh Barnes with regular 3's fullback Ben Wilkinson at the helm. I have not known a stronger back line at 3's level with three first teamers in there who are returning to action.

Super strong bench as well in Daniel Sweeney, Jack Bolam, Arthur Wallis, Zac Smith and the welcome return of James McCombe. Zac Smith also has 1's experience and the bench is completed by Adam Longstaff, Rohan Cook, Ross Cleminson, Ethan Morton and Josh Martin.
