Novos welcomed back a couple of regulars for the league game at home to Northern.

Novos welcomed back a couple of regulars for the league game at home to Northern.

Novos started of strongly and took the lead after a number 8 Stewart Wilson picked up before off loading to pacey scrum half Darren McCrory who raced away to score. Angus Walker added the extras.

Novos were all over Northern, next to score was Jonny Martin after a good run and spin he powered over the try line, the conversion was missed by Walker.

Northern scored two penalty kicks from the Novos 22.

Another quick break from McCrory let him into score his second, the conversion was missed.

In the second half Novos dominated from the off with a try through Marshall who used his pace to burst through the Northern defence.

Minutes later a pick and go from Stew Wilson put McCrory in for his hattrick.

Next to score was leading try scorer Brian Keith who after a good back moved scored in the corner.

Angus Walker put in the Champaign moment of the match when on the half way he put up & under kick in, he then caught his kick burst away, before putting McGregor in for a certain try only for the youngster to run into the fullback and spill the ball.

After 60 minutes rang the changes to allow the subs a good run out, with Pitchford, Wilson, Keith, and Gittins being replaced by Paterson, Gardiner, Du Randt and Walker coming on.

Novos took their foot off the gas to allow Northern to score two Tries, but Novos hit back Marshall showed his pace to score again.

Dave Henry scored a classic solo try as Novos began to run riot.

Next on the score sheet was JP Addison after the ball knocked out of his hands when he was trying to pass the ball from the base of a ruck, Addison reacted quickly to score.

The score was rounded off by Dave Henry who was put in space by Angus Walker.

The full time score was 59-16 to Novos, the win moves Novos above Northern to second bottom in the league. Novos have three games in hand and they are now only two points off Percy Park.

This was an excellent showing from Novos, if they keep performing like this they will start moving up the table.

Everyone had excellent games, Man of the Match was Darren McCrory who had an excellent game, scoring a hattrick and controlling the game from scrum half.
