Novos Ladies 2nds 58 Sunderland Ladies 39

Whilst Novos Ladies 1st team were beating Eccles in the league, the development squad (all 28 players) took on Sunderland in an exciting and well played match. The home side scoring ten tries and four conversions to the visitors seven tries and two conversions.

Novos lent 4 players to Sunderland and played rotating substitutes so that all players had as much game time as possible. Top try scorer was Pip with four, Rebecca scoring three, and Louise, Ella & Caitlin one each. Cathy (captain for the day in Emmas absence) slotted over the four conversions.

Both teams played great rugby, plenty of strong direct running and some crunching tackles. The experience of Sal in the front row helped stead the scrum for Novos Ladies.
