Ouch!!!!

A very, very difficult away trip was made even harder with several unavailabilities and injuries to key personnell. Never less Novos travelled with a full if stretched squad to take on the champions and were unable to to match their intensity and skill levels.

A toughie for Novos to take after the improvements made this season but a stark reminder that Waterloo are far too good for this league and really should be in the premiership after winning this league several times.

Positives in a heavy defeat saw the return of centre Ali Lonie to action following injury and debuts for Scrum Half Abbie Curtis and winger Matilda Butler and another good showing from promising forward Tina Bousfield despite only picking up a rugby ball for the first time this year she continues to show a huge amount of potential. Also scrummaging from the pack was very effective against a strong Waterloo eight.

Novos need not to dwell on this as the games come thick and fast with a home game vs Eccles next Sunday followed by two games at home before the Xmas break.
