According to available records Novos Ladies first played Camp Hill in the 2000/2001 season playing in the RFUW Division 1 North. However after the 2001/02 season there would be nearly a 10 year wait for the two sides to face each other again, this time in the Championship North 1 to which Novos had just been promoted. The newly promoted Novos side didn't fair too well against the team that went on to win the league in 2011/12, loosing at home 5-76.
Camp Hill have dominated the Championship North 1 league since 2009/10 when they topped it, winning it again in 11/12. Since Novos joined the league Camp Hill have finished in the top three, so the fixture has always been a tough one, both home and away. That is until the 15/16 season when roles were reversed and Novos finished 3rd and Camphill 6th, Novos recording their first wins against Camp Hill in this league. The away win will go down in history as a spirited victory as Novos came back from 19-0 down after just 20 minutes to win 29-19 on the final whistle. This was then followed by a convincing win at home.
Novos go in to this match with confidence having won last week, and respectable results in the four games of the season so far (2 wins, 1 draw and 1 lose). With a strong squad the team are hopeful to continue the winning ways. Come down to support the team at Sutherland Park, kick off 2.30pm.
