There will be a £2 entry fee payable (for all adult spectators). You will be given a festival programme. This small charge is to help cover the costs of hosting the festival.

Parking
There is parking at the ground, but it is limited. Please consider car sharing. There is parking in the residential streets next to the ground. Please make sure you park considerately.

Timings for the day:

Arrival: 9.15

Coaches Meeting: 09.45

Matches begin: 10.00

Scheduled finish time: 13.00

It is very important to arrive promptly to allow the children to warm up and to get the squads organized. We must be organized and ready to start promptly to help the festival run smoothly.

The last match is scheduled for 1300. However, be prepared for a later finish.

Festival Format

Games are 8-a-side. Ten minute games (unless Mike is reffing!)

We have entered three teams. As games are 8-a-side we only have one or two subs per side; on the upside this means lots of game time for all the players.

Kit

MOUTHGUARDS: Please, please, please do not forget them. No child will be allowed to play without one.

Forecast currently dry, but with an Arctic wind. There will be some sitting around, so please make sure you have enough layers to keep the children and yourselves warm. I recommend bringing hand warmers (I
never attend a festival without them).

Food

Food will be provided all players, but it won’t be available until the end. Please bring plenty of snacks and drinks to keep the children happy and hydrated for their games.

Help

As ever, help from the sidelines with lace tying, comforting and encouragement will be greatly appreciated.

We will be bringing the Team Event Shelter. It was put up with impressive speed and team-working at the last festival. I am looking forward to seeing the same again.

We have neglected out match reports a bit this season; they have been missed. Judith will be seeking out volunteers this Sunday and will be hand out team sheets, pens and notepads.

Finally, please support the coaches and uphold the Novo’s club and rugby ethos; encourage the children and applaud good play from all sides.
