U10's Cup Winners @ Darlington Festival!
A fitting end of season was sealed at the Darlington Festival where Novos 'A' were victorious following 5 straight wins with NO tries conceded.
The Rockets fully deserved the silverware following a true team performance with all players giving 100% in every game.
Well drilled with set moves from pass off and the scrum, the Rockets took the game plan onto the pitch with some fabulous wing play from Thomas Williams and James Hepburn who, combined, ran in almost half of the 23 tries taken on the day. This was testimony to hard work in the ruck from Dan Neill, Ryan Crossley and JPL to retain possession and to secure the ball though counter-ruck. All players led by Tom Steele created a stubborn defensive line with relentless solid tackling forcing back the opposition into their own half to ensure the Rockets gained territorial advantage throughout. This hard work and discipline meant that the Rockets did not concede a single try all afternoon. A fabulous feat of strength and commitment!
Reflective of the team work that prevailed, tries were taken across the board with Dan Neill, Ryan Crossley, Wes Croom, Matthew Willcock and Sonny McDonnell also contributing.
