Girls still on top form

Today the girls took another festival in their stride ,this time at Kingston park along with Ellie from cockermouth and Jess from bishop who joined us for the day
This time we were drawn in a group consisting of Stockton Morpeth and our friends from jarrovians
With Novos up first against a pretty strong Morpeth side we started at full steam running in 4 tries in quick succession and not allowing Morpeth any room to play a further 2 were scored before the Morpeth girls got on the scoresheet but by the it was too late the girls were in the stride and hitting every tackle and ran out winners 8-1
Next up were Stockton, this time it was a bit more physical and the girls went behind to a well worked try, but fought back well and were rewarded with a try of their own just on half time ,second half saw a different side come out and the girls ran in 3 more tries, and saw the game out 4-1
Jarrorvians lost 3 players during their 1st game and asked if some of ours would join them when asked every girl wanted to play which is a credit to the bond and friendship the two sets of girls made at Ryton
So now onto our last game and it was jarrovians, despite being good friends both sets of girls through themselves at this game, with it first going one way then the other and some great tackling from both sides, both coaches were in high praise for the way the game was played and at the end a 5-5 score line was recorded by us both although the ref marked it as a 6-4 to Novos ?????? Sorry Andrea
So now on to next week and girls rugby arrives at Novos ,with a 1pm kick off so once the cup games have ended stay back and watch the new section of Novos play some rugby ,and not forgetting our newly qualified young officials so come down and show your support
