A wet Fortress Vos awaits Peterlee & Horden on Saturday. Whilst we are desperate to keep the game on at home we are also exploring other options given weather conditions this weekend. So please keep an eye on our social media platforms for up-to-date info.
Relatively unchanged squad once again - Dylan Gittins is away so this sees Rob Baldwin slide across from 6 to add. His shirt is taken by Louis Matthews who has been making huge impacts off the bench. Then the 17 shirt is handed to Owen Hayton. So just the one change in the eighteen that beat Medicals comfortably on Saturday.
In the earlier game at Horden we went out to a 39-12 lead before a last quarter rally by our opponents saw the game finish 39-31. The game was hotly contested all round the park and included 2-3 melees. This will be a stern test as we look to continue our unbeaten run at home. Our last home league loss was over a year ago against Sunderland in the first week of Feb 2025.
Nine games to go till the end of the season and we are in the hunt for promotion. We didnt set out to do anything other than improve on last seasons 22 results. However, a stronger squad has led to us being in the fight for the final two and a half months of the season.
Can we take it down to the last four games, three of which are at home, whilst our title rivals have three of their last four games away.
1st XV to play Horden at home 1400, meet 1230.

Consett's pitches are unplayable so the 2/3s now have Tynedale away. Great opportunity to get out of the house and roll round in some mud.
Look out for 1st xv regulars Johnny McSorley, Jez Hunt, Adam Lambert in the 2's squad. Also returning to the squads are Nathan Tizard, Alfie Bowman, Lex Leonard, Chyaro Hylton - to mention just a few. Must be 5-6 lads in the 3's who have played ones at some stage.
Should be a cracking weekend of rugby if we can keep all three games on.
