We haven't seen the Guisborough side for a couple of seasons so it will be great for the two clubs to reconnect. They arrive on the back of a narrow loss to Meds last week but sit in 4th place with a 5/4 record.
The boys will be looking to build on last weeks effort against Darlo where we were not a million miles off a result. We missed some opportunities and they scored two pretty soft tries which were completely avoidable.
The pack sees Callum Anderson move into the starting team from his bench spot last week and Louis Matthews return at six. A more mobile pack this week in the absence of our normal second rowers in Andy Black and Carl Ferguson.
Out wide we look balanced with the return of Tom Brown from injury, Tim Hart able to play due to it being an early kick off and the availability of exciting youngster Ben Jubb. We do not lose many games that Jubby is involved with as he is brings ability and cohesion to the back line.
Good luck boys.
This week we see the 2nd xv play their first game without Speed Christ - aka Ben Forbes. He will be much missed after his move to New Zealand and we are grateful for the time he put into our 2nd xv captaincy.
It is going to be some day for sport with the women's final on in the morning, international fixtures on into the evening and of course Novos vs Leicester women's side as the icing on the cake. A big day for the club to host both of our flagship sides and we look forward to helping them enjoy their day.
Up the Vos !
