Forget about Wimbledon - let's look forward to the new rugby season!

Whilst it may officially be summer, we've been having weather more suited to November or February. So it seems appropriate to put out the first version of our diary for the upcoming season, and work out what you might like to do when it should be wet and cold!

In terms of rugby fixtures, this is a bit sparse, as I've only had sight so far of the 1st XV fixtures. However, added in to here is various events still to take place across the summer, social events being added in to the new season, and importantly, autumn internationals and the Six Nations fixtures.

Before all of that though is the deciding Lions Test v New Zealand this Saturday.

AND, it's the Women's Rugby World Cup during August, taking place in Ireland. Can the Red Roses retain the cup won in such style three years ago, managed by our own Janette Evans, and featuring three former Novos players: Katy Mclean, Tamara Taylor, and current world player of the year, Sarah Hunter.

So, after your own plans for summer holidays, please make sure that you fill your diary with all of the important club dates, and come on down to the club to watch the Lions and the Red Roses. Oh yes, and try out the new beers we will have in for August!
