The boys have put in some huge efforts over the last few weeks with a lot of mileage under our belts. So this week it's all about match prep as we finalise contact work and start working towards our first league match - Hartlepool Rovers at home on the 3rd September.

On Saturday our 2/3's will play the curtain raiser at 1300. Any playing member can play in this fixture so just contact Magnus Leask on 0790 443 5993 to let him know you want a game. If you can't play then get on down to watch second team regulars or some newish faces like Rob Kellaway, William Jones, James Snoad-Speck, Ali Bennett and a load of other lads in their second season at Novos - Ethan Carmichael, Peter Irvine and Ed Thompson.

Thereafter, the 1's will play at 1500 with a balance of first team regulars and some serious young talent on display in Rhys Gibbons, Freddie Nickalls, Dan Neill, Brandon Gilbert, Greg Abibu, Sion Gittins, Alfie Bowman having all graduated from our colts in recent seasons. In addition, we hope to see a couple of new faces make their first team debuts in this game.

In the coming weeks we also look forward to other youngsters getting involved - Ryan Gibson, Oli Taylor, Jack Ribbon and Alistair Wilks will all want to claim a first team shirt.
