1's vs Ponteland (h) 1400 - meet 1245
Pete Twentyman (capt) Tom Dias, Luke Menzfeld, Liam Owens, Luke Foster, Louis Matthews. George Bambrick, Darren Kelly, Tom Grieves, Jack Hearn, Shaun Stewart, Gregor Stirling, Sam Bird, Brandon Gilbert, Ben Wollerton, Charlie Smith, Daniel Shuttleworth, Ross Radford.
Seems like an age ago that we lost to Ponteland away - a tough day for the boys without our tight five lads. Our pack is looking so much stronger this time round as Tom Dias, Luke Menzfeld, Liam Owens, Charlie Smith and Daniel Shuttleworth were all unavailable which affected our set piece.
In the backs we welcome the return of Gregor Stirling back into the squad after time out for medical reasons. Great timing given that he had a huge game last time out against Ponteland. In addition, Ben Wollerton returns after being unavailable last week due to work commitments with RGS.
We have been much improved since the turn of the year and we hope to continue this form on Saturday. Training has been fun, fast paced with some tactical adjustments made by the boys for this week. Massive focus on winning the battle upfront and at the breakdown which sees three forwards selected on the bench.
It is great to see Charlie Smith back in the squad with a rare Saturday off from his Falcons Academy duties and no game for Dame Allan's School. In addition, it's been huge to see Daniel Shuttleworth return from a shoulder injury - starring in his come back last week with the 3's. Even spending some time at flyhalf !
Looking forward to the game which I hope is played in better spirits than last time.

Keith Christie's men have had a great week preparing for the game - excellent session last night.
Strong squad out with ten of the starting fifteen having first team experience. Brilliant to see Oli Taylor putting on a shirt whilst home for the week from uni. Also, great to see Isaac Robinson back from a lengthy lay off with ankle ligament damage.
A mix of youth and experience is on display via youngsters Ben Walker, Alex Histed, Oli Taylor, Alistair Wilks all coming through the Novos system with Alistair still being in his final year at Dame Allan's.
3's at Ryton 1400 kick off - meet 1215
Ian Wood (captain) Rich Zabrocki, John Watson, James Coles, Jeremy Hunt, Thomas Storey, Zach Weatherhead, Sam Warwick, Jonny Lowes, Will Evans, Josh Barnes, Thomas Crosse, Ross Glasper, Greg Abibu, Craig Logue, Rich Harrison, Pete Jones, David Thompson, Chris Brown
Ian Wood's merry men travel to Ryton this week. Ian has been instrumental this season ensuring that we put three sides out every week. A top lad, late to rugby but is now thriving within the games culture and providing a great environment with a mix of vets and youngsters.
An experienced tight five has been assembled - great to see John Watson back playing as well as Thomas Storey. Both of whom have been away from our squads for a period. Some serious gas out wide in the form of Greg Abibu and Josh Barnes.
Good luck to all our teams and see you when you get back for speeches.
Up the Vos !
