Amazing moment yesterday as the senior men's side for Saturday was selected. Amazing to have positive news come from county headquarters about the selection of Ben Jubb in the starting line up with bench spots for Michael Searle and Freddie Nickalls. Unfortunately, our other two nominations in George Bambrick and Dylan Gittins were unavailable for selection this week.

Ben Jubb has had an incredible season for us - returning on numerous occasions from uni to put on the 13 shirt. He continued this fine form on Sunday scooping the Player of the Tournament at Morpeth 7's.

Michael Searle in his first season at Novos won Coaches Player of the Season and is finishing thing s on a high. After joining us from Ponteland he has not looked back with Man of the Match performances most weeks. He has been selected as a forward replacement - no surprise there given how much ball he has turned over at the breakdown this season.

Great to see Freddie Nickalls get a bench spot as we have not seen Freddie as much this season due to uni commitments. His versatility as an outstanding 9 who can also play 10 to a high level makes him a perfect impact player.

So despite not having a game you can head to Alnwick for a 1400 kick off to watch the boys play against Cheshire.

After that it is off to the Novos Ball - never a dull moment !
