The Undateables Win Morpeth 7's

What a first day of 7's as two squads ventured to the Morpeth 7's - a fantastic social 7's event which was very well organised with the boys in attendance at the beerfest after the rugby. The boys do not want this season to end as Novos added another cup to the glass cabinet.

Both sides were exquisite in their application of social 7's with a few quiets on the sidelines and business when we crossed the line. It was great to see the Unloveables get through to the quarter finals before losing to a strong Playboy Scrummies performance. Then the boys supported The Undateables as they went on to win all three knockout games allowing Sam Busby to lift the trophy. Ben Jubb was awarded Player of the Tournament with some outstanding defence, try assists and several tries himself.

Thank you to Rob Baldwin (Westoe) and Spike Patton (P.Park) who guested for us. Both were outstanding and contributed greatly to the performances of both sides.

Some first event for the boys as we continue to train on Thursdays before our next event at Percy Park on the 18th May. There are still a few spots available in the two squads so please contact Magnus Leask if you want to get involved.
