Returning Scrum Half Shauna Vetch will take the plaudits for a sparkling 4 try display, with Janette Shaw chipping in with 2 tries and Kerry Short with one. Helen Kane again impressed with the boot notching 5 conversion and a penalty.

What is pleasing is the way the team are playing together and whilst clearly doing the business in attack, the defensive record speaks for itself with only 8 points scored against all season.

There will be no let up from the girls with two games remaining with the prospect of an unbeaten season and a championship game against the equivalent midlands champions to look forward to.

Clear and deserved champions, next season will see the girls compete in the 2nd tier of English rugby, Something of which this club should be very proud.

Lets get everyone up to the club early next week to cheer the girls on against Team Northumbria (Blaydon in old money!)

Its Ladies day on Saturday 9th April. We are playing Team Northumbria at 12 noon kick off.
